    I've been a bad blogger....

But now I'm back. My apologies for my absence, I had houseguests this weekend- three of my best friends from Mass came down to visit me. We had a wonderful time, but kept busy enough that I didn't really have a chance to write. I'll write more about their visit soon.

Today I decided to declare "the first day of summer." Yes, I know the real first day of summer is weeks and weeks away, but I was so sick and tired of the rain that plagued us all weekend, that this morning when I woke up I decided to rebel. I wore a pink tank top and pair of low-rider jeans. I put on my "summer" makeup, just a bit of bronzer with some shimmery eye shadow and waterproof mascara, and chose "summer" accessories: a pair of pink and gold chunky "mediterranian" style earings and a pink beaded bracelet. Flip-flops went on my feet, and I cuffed my jeans to compensate for the lack of shoe height.

On my way into work, I played music that reminds me of summer (mostly things I listened to the summer after my senior year of highschool). I thought summery thoughts, and was determined to banish all hint of winter. When I got into the office, I changed my background to a picture of a tropical island.

And you know what? It's 70 degrees out today.
