The experiences and exploits of a college grad trying to make it in the "real world:" leaving school and friends in New England, moving south, and living with her boyfriend. Watch as I pretend to be an adult.

I had just finished writing a "poor me" pity post when my phone rang. MRI, the company I interviewed with last week, has extended me an offer of employment and I am thrilled to announce I accepted it! Full benefits, base salary of $27,600, raise after 6 months, and the opportunity for unlimited bonuses at $500 a pop (if my research results in a placement). I am ecstatic! Wheeeeee!
On top of everything else, the company is just fantastic. They are warm, friendly, and I'll have the chance to make great connections there.
Yesterday was amazing too. I came home from Raeford on Sunday and had a fabulous day. I got back early enough that morning to wake Elija up, and we spent most of the day cuddling, talking, and generally being silly. Later that night he made me a fabulous shrimp curry dinner. Yum!
The only thing bringing me down is my car. It looks like I'll have to replace the rotors on all four wheels, which will not be cheap. So, I'll be heading back up to Virginia tomorrow, and hoping that my car doesn't implode on the drive up. I suppose I could take it to a shop around here, but I'm really reluctant to bring my car into a place I don't know. I trust the guys up in Va- at least as far as you can trust a mechanic. And actually, I'm kind of looking forward to another trip. Again, as long as my car makes it up to Va.
