    A hard day's night

What I'm listening to: Shakira, Las de La Intuicion

Phew! This week has been a little crazy.

The new job is great. I love the people, and though the actual work is a bit dull at the moment (really what I should expect for the first week of training), I have been assured that it gets more interesting.
My days are too long. I know everyone thinks that, but geez... I leave the house at 7:45 am, get back at 6:00 pm, and then work a couple hours for EC after dinner. I'm working almost 12 hours a day- holy shit! Not counting the 40 minute commute. No wonder I'm having a hard time finding time to get to the gym.
Poor Elija, I'm pretty sure he's not thrilled about the above situation. Between his class schedule and my work schedule, we're lucky to have two hours of "real" time together (meaning when we're actually interacting, and not bent over our respective computers/books doing work), and for half of this we're cooking and eating dinner. Plus, we're so tired that our normally fun and inteligent banter has been reduced to half hearted attempts like:

    "So, how was your day?"
    "Fine. Long. How was yours?"
"The same. I have (insert work/school task) left to do tonight. I'm sorry, I'd hoped we could do something fun."
"That's ok. I have (insert work/school task) to do."
    "Awww. That sucks."
    "Yeah."
    (exhausted pause)
"Did you hear Roberts got confirmed?"
    "Yeah. What was Bush thinking?"
    "I dunno."
    "Stupid monkey."
    "Yeah."

    Aannnnnd scene.

I need to find a way to opperate on less sleep. Really.
