The experiences and exploits of a college grad trying to make it in the "real world:" leaving school and friends in New England, moving south, and living with her boyfriend. Watch as I pretend to be an adult.
Christmas shopping this year is like pulling teeth. I swear.
I don't know if it's because I'm not really in the mood, or if it's because I'm trying to do my shoping on my lunch break, but I can't find anything.
I need gifts for:
Dad and Chris (little individual gifts and one combined gift) Katie Caroline Elija Karen Laurie and Steve The chicas (maybe) Kathy and Mark Nick, Phoung and Olivia
I have gifts for:
Dad and Chris Karen
That is all. And I have been shopping EVERY DAY THIS WEEK. Hey, Santa, little help?
In other news, I joined Netflix. I was hesitant, because I've heard some really negative things about them. But it seemed like most of the compaints from people were regarding their turnaround time, and appeared to come from people who wanted a movie every couple days. I'd be happy with a movie a week or so. Plus, they have a great selection, and you can't beat the convenience.
I got my first movie yesterday, Secretary. It was entertaining, but I think because I'd heard so much about it my expections were a bit too high. I watched the commentary as well, and that was fairly interesting. I think it's amusing that directors make these consious choices to include themes and elements in the movie that the average person never picks up on. Apparently they were really trying to work with "water" as a theme, as well as purple and a couple other things- and I never noticed. Ah well.
Elija is in the middle of finals, so he has been burning the midnight oil in Studio. I think he's working on a final project involving some sort of beach domes...or something. Yah.
