The experiences and exploits of a college grad trying to make it in the "real world:" leaving school and friends in New England, moving south, and living with her boyfriend. Watch as I pretend to be an adult.
I know it has been a while. I got a bit burnt out on the blogging, and, well, to be honest there hasn't been much to blog about until recently. I've been pretty busy, but busy doing very boring, mundane things. Also, unfortunately my job does little to get the creative juices flowing, and I've been finding it harder and harder to stimulate my brain lately. The last few weeks have been quite busy though, and I might as well start by bringing everyone up to date. Two weeks ago my fabulous ex-roomie Karen flew down to visit for a long weekend. We took advantage of the beautiful weather and spent as much time outside as possible. No visit would be complete without some reatil therapy, so I helped her pick out a birthday gift for her sister, and then we splurged a bit on new shoes at DSW. Last weekend was the office trip to Charleston, which was fantastic. It is a beautiful city, and I'll be happy to share more about my visit in a future post. Tomorrow I'll be heading out bright n' early to Virginia- I feel a familial visit is in order. On Tuesday Elija will be driving up to Norfolk to interview for an internship. We have a weekend in Raleigh to get our shit together (thank god), and then the next Tuesday it is off to Puerto Rico for five days! No sooner do we get back than I start my class at Chapel Hill and Elija (hopefully) heads up to Norfolk for a few months. It looks to be a full summer (as mine always are) complete with a few more trips (Boston I hope, Georgia in July, Costa Rica in August), a graduation/move to college (my little sister is all grown up!), and the requisit move. I cannot wait to spend more than one year in an apartment. Last but certainly not least...dum dum dum... an engagement! No, not me; jesus, people. Laurie and Steve! Congratulations to the happy couple.
